At school we had a very special assembly. The special assembly was all to do with having no rules at school. As soon as Mrs Vickers said “there will be no rules” everyone sprinted outside and we all did whatever we wanted.

After that everyone decided to go home early. The next day I came to school at 7:00am, the teachers were having a party in the middle of the top field and celebrating for having no rules. Then Mrs Vickers shouted at me “SIMON” you're in charge for the year. Then I went into Mrs Vickers office and took lots of money out and threw it everywhere it was like raining money. I will get my own limo.

After having a Blast at school I went home. When I got home I went to sleep.

Don't Look Down.

Summary:
There are lots of people visiting the Eiffel Tower and looking through its  new glass floor to make it interesting and scary. The glass floor is 57 metres off the ground.

Opinion:

I think that the new glass floor looks cool but doesn't  seem safe for other people to walk on, because it might not be safety glass.

Cruden Misses Flight – out of All Blacks

Summary:
The All Blacks next game is against Argentina and then South Africa. The first five eighth Aaron Cruden had missed his flight while he was hanging out with two girls in a bar drunk!. Aaron Cruden was deeply embarrassed about it. Beauden Barrett is finally going to wear the number 10 jersey and also play full-time.

Opinion:

I think that Beauden Barrett deserves to wear the number 10 jersey than  Aaron Cruden. Beauden Barrett is a way better player than Aaron Cruden.

The New Zealand prime minister John Key announced that the GCSB HAS NOT undertaken surveillance of New Zealand. He said it was all made up

Opinion:
I think that New Zealand needs a better Prime Minister than John Key.
(Also, he later admitted that the NSA from America HAS SPIED ON NEW ZEALANDERS using the same system as the GCSB but the GCSB hasn't actually done it,)

The NASA experts announced the asteroid just passed New Zealand just this morning. The asteroid was the size of a little house and was heading directly to New Zealand. The asteroid was over 40,000 kilometres away (LUCKY). The asteroid passed New Zealand at 6am in the morning.

I think that the asteroid was pretty cool. if it was going to hit us, then I hope it wouldn’t hit AUCKLAND.

Money Truck Crashes

The police said that the truck lost control and swerved and crashed to the side of the grass. The truck crashed in the middle of the highway. When the truck crashed lots of money flew out of the packets. Most of the money were coins.

Warriors Struggling To Make Top 8

The Roosters lead the Warriors by 7 tries and the Roosters move up the ladder into 3rd place and the Warriors have dropped down to 10th place after losing 46-12.

NZRFU To Stop Fireworks At Games

I was shocked that the firework displays have been suspended at the rugby union games. The fireworks had landed on three people in the crowd. The NZRFU chief Steve Tew has already banned them and said there will be NO! fireworks anymore.

I agree and think that they shouldn't do fireworks anymore because it might  hurt more people and could even hurt one of the rugby players.

New Zealand views supermoon

Sky gazers around New Zealand were able to look at a ‘SUPER MOON’ last night.
Last night was the full moon and it was closest and largest of 2014.The moon won’t get closer to earth again until September 2015. The moon looked like it was just sitting there close enough to touch. For those people that stayed up the moon was cool to look at. The MetService said the east of the north island enjoyed the best viewing conditions due to a bunch of clouds.Screenshot 2014-08-11 at 07.43.23.png

Breakers Re-Sign Jackson.

The New Zealand basketball team the Breakers re-signed Cedric  Jackson for the team. Cedric  Jackson came from America and he used to play for  Cleveland State . He came to play for the Breakers because he wanted to be in the Australian National League Season with some of his old team mates. Cedric Jackson spent two years at the club, winning two championships and an  MVP award. Jackson’s signing means the Breakers now have seven players on list for next season but they still have one import player spot to fill.Screenshot 2014-07-30 at 08.18.46.png

Making Invatations

In the holidays I went to my aunt's house to help her make the invitations for my little nephew’s birthday. We sat there for hours designing them and printing them out and we finally made 64 invitations. They took ages to do. After that we made little bags with lollies, party poppers and  balloons in each for the guests. His birthday is on 26th Saturday.

Later on, we went to Dress Mart to get some new shoes, clothes and other things for the birthday, then we went somewhere else to get some decorations. When we got everything ready we delivered the invitations to everyone. We got home just before midnight , had a little feed and went to sleep.

His birthday is this Saturday and he will be coming to Ruapotaka School next week and will start in Room 1.

Monday 23 June 2014

On Saturday morning my rugby team went to play against Suburbs red at the Avondale racecourse. Before the game we huddled up around in the circle and did some cheers.
We won 64 to nil and we made it into the A grade. My coach gave us some invitations for pizza night. At 7:00pm we went to the rugby club and me and my dad took some Domino’s pizzas there. When we got there, there were lots of people drinking and lots of us kids playing rugby on our number 1 field. We stayed and watched the All Blacks and England game.

War In Iraq

Last nights news showed a horrible war overseas in Iraq. When they were fighting there were lots of people in their buildings and they were being shot so the soldiers could use their houses as shelter. There were people running away from their homes and asking for help.
Its was really horrible because the news people were there showing us the video.Screenshot 2014-06-23 at 08.02.35.png

State O Origin

Last nights game was disappointing for Queensland because they lost.
Queensland and New South Wales played in Brisbane. At the game there were several fights on the field and some of them nearly got penalised .Queensland lost the game and I was sad.
While I was watching the end of the game Jarryd Hayne started to cry. “TEARS OF JOY” HaHaHa!
Next time Queensland will come back with lots of heart and energy.

I also heard that there were 4 guys coming to peoples’ houses in a van and knocking on peoples doors  and pretending they were plumbers but they go into your house and rob every thing.

Netball Skills We Learnt

At netball today it was pretty cool getting to learn new skills.First, we warmed up by jogging to the fence and back 3 times, We also did the ankle touch and heelflick runs.
After the warm up we each got a partner and grabbed a ball. We learnt how to do the over head pass. Our netball coach was Dona.
We also tried the fire pass which is when you roll it at another person’s ankles…
After that we had to get into 3 teams and the person in front needs to get a netball each and throw the netball through the hula hoop but the hula hoop has to stand holding down, middle and then high.We have been doing that game so we could learn our fire pass and chest pass and over head pass. The other was we had to get into a circle and pass around in a circle.
There was another that you needed to get 3 people and get into a square and passing it and the other person moves to another corner.
At the end we played a little bit of netball, it was fascinating.

Watching The Rugby Games

On Saturday night I watched two rugby games on t.v. One was the All blacks vs England the other one was Samoa vs Tonga. While me and my dad were watching he kept saying make me a cup of tea and make me some crackers. It was  annoying.  Samoa and Tonga drew  15 all. I was happy that Samoa did not lose,YAY! The All Blacks  won because Conrad Smith got the last try and the score was 20 to 15 .

That was a tough match to watch but I’m glad the All Blacks beat England.Screenshot 2014-06-09 at 09.15.50.pngScreenshot 2014-06-09 at 09.17.32.pngScreenshot 2014-06-09 at 09.18.37.png

Blog Post Personal Information

When we share online we will make smart decisions about what personal information we share
  • I will use my first name only
  • I am going to think carefully about what I share online and if I am not sure I will  ask my parents, teachers or principal.
  • If I can’t ask anyone or I am not sure I will  keep it private
  • I will be sharing what I am learning, new knowledge and information relevant to my learning

We have been learning to deal with inappropriate emails we don’t want to read and we can  forward the message to our teacher or the principal.

I also learnt that I shouldn’t share my personal information online.  A good way of doing it is to only post my first name and NOT share my date of birth.
