Making Invatations

In the holidays I went to my aunt's house to help her make the invitations for my little nephew’s birthday. We sat there for hours designing them and printing them out and we finally made 64 invitations. They took ages to do. After that we made little bags with lollies, party poppers and  balloons in each for the guests. His birthday is on 26th Saturday.

Later on, we went to Dress Mart to get some new shoes, clothes and other things for the birthday, then we went somewhere else to get some decorations. When we got everything ready we delivered the invitations to everyone. We got home just before midnight , had a little feed and went to sleep.

His birthday is this Saturday and he will be coming to Ruapotaka School next week and will start in Room 1.

War In Iraq

Last nights news showed a horrible war overseas in Iraq. When they were fighting there were lots of people in their buildings and they were being shot so the soldiers could use their houses as shelter. There were people running away from their homes and asking for help.
Its was really horrible because the news people were there showing us the video.Screenshot 2014-06-23 at 08.02.35.png

State O Origin

Last nights game was disappointing for Queensland because they lost.
Queensland and New South Wales played in Brisbane. At the game there were several fights on the field and some of them nearly got penalised .Queensland lost the game and I was sad.
While I was watching the end of the game Jarryd Hayne started to cry. “TEARS OF JOY” HaHaHa!
Next time Queensland will come back with lots of heart and energy.

Saturday Morning News

On Saturday morning I turned on the radio and it said  that the All Blacks game was on Saturday night. After that  they said that the next State Of Origin is coming up this Wednesday. When I watched the All Blacks game they had won 28 to 27.
I also heard that there were 4 guys coming to peoples’ houses in a van and knocking on peoples doors  and pretending they were plumbers but they go into your house and rob every thing.

Blog Post Personal Information

When we share online we will make smart decisions about what personal information we share
  • I will use my first name only
  • I am going to think carefully about what I share online and if I am not sure I will  ask my parents, teachers or principal.
  • If I can’t ask anyone or I am not sure I will  keep it private
  • I will be sharing what I am learning, new knowledge and information relevant to my learning

We have been learning to deal with inappropriate emails we don’t want to read and we can  forward the message to our teacher or the principal.

I also learnt that I shouldn’t share my personal information online.  A good way of doing it is to only post my first name and NOT share my date of birth.
